Was just there for a vehicle inspection. Didn't have to wait, everyone was nice and professional. Had a bit of a wait last year, but their waiting room is nice, so I didn't mind at all.

I took my car there a couple of years ago for a new water pump. They are now the only repair shop I will use. They do quality work and even fix things for free that they discover after the fact. They guarantee and warranty their work. They have a shuttle service so yo do not have to wait around. They are fairly priced and are fast with fixing your car. I have left there several times with the feeling that I was Not ripped off. Do not go anywhere else.

I've used McSpadden's in Bee Caves for a few years and have nothing but good things to say about them. Very fair (unlike many others in the Tire & Automotive space), super friendly, and easy to work with. Nobody really likes car maintenance, but these guys make it much easier and cheaper for all of us. Ryan is my contact there, see if you can bug him to death...I know I do. Oh, also, at the end of this rating you'll see a negative feedback for this shop. Note that was from the previous owner (Luis) who now owns a shop just down the street from here near Briarcliff and shouldn't be associated with this business. I'd say be smart, give McSpadden's an opportunity.

Over the past few years I've grown to trust this service provider. They consistently exceed my expectations with their fair pricing, honest approach to business, and top-notch customer service. Multiple vehicles and a range of service types have allowed me to experience their consistency in these attributes, and I recently had the same reinforcement of appreciation when I visited their South Congress location. They performed minor service and diagnostics at no charge while taking the time to explain each step along the way and go out of their way to make picking up my vehicle as convenient for the customer as possible. I highly recommend McSpadden's!

The guys at McSpadden's were great. They performed a spark plug change and a fuel injection cleaning on my car recently. Not only did they call me to let me know the car was ready (some car service locations don't notify you when work is finished), they also cleaned my car at no charge! Quick service and nice guys.

Don't know why I see bad reviews on this place. This place has great service, everyone is super friendly, and it is really affordable. I've been going to McSpaddens for all my car needs for the past two years. Before I moved to Austin I never had a set mechanic place for I was never that thrilled about another business. But as long as I live in south Austin I will be taking my SUV and my wife's car to McSpadden's.

I wonder if these folks are reviewing the same place I go to. Are you reviewing the Bee Caves location? I take both our 1999 Dodge Ram pickup and our 2005 Chrysler 300 in for both regular maintenance and for any problems and have never had anything but the best service and the fairest pricing. They have never scammed me. Far from it. They have bent over backwards to do the opposite. When they worked on a problem one time and couldn't fix it, they didn't charge me at all, even though they had spent a good amount of labor time on it. They give me a ride home if the job is going to take more than a few minutes, they remember my name when I walk in the door. I've gone to this place since McSpadden bought it. I can't even remember how many years it is. Getting the right service writer is always important and I always ask for Ryan. They always do a superb job and communicate with me about what's needed. They have never gouged me or taken advantage of anyone in my family. Counting my mother-in-law, we probably visit McSpadden 5-10 times per year. I'm guessing here, but I think they bought it in 2008? If so, that means somewhere between 25-50 visits to McSpadden, for everything from inspection to a major repair on the truck's intake system. The prices have always been right, and the one time replacing a plate under the car went wrong, they fixed it immediately. They give me a ride home if I would have to wait too long or if they need the vehicle overnight. Twice, I've been concerned about a noise in my car and both times, they put it up on the rack, fixed it and wouldn't accept any money for it, saying I was a regular customer and it was easy to do. The latest example was yesterday. Ryan himself put the car on the lift, showed me a problematic piece of plastic, and fixed it right then and there. Time taken, roughly ten minutes. Cost - nada $zero. How many places do that? In response to one of the other writers, my car is white with a light gray interior. It shows everything, and I have never had it come back dirtier than when I gave it to them, and it is often cleaner when I get it back. This is as good as a neighborhood place gets. We are getting more car repair places in the Lakeway/Bee Cave area and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

Working on problems can take time and communication. They are very professional and communicate everything that is needed well. We had a broken piece to our car they helped us look for the part to try and fix it ourselves, the part was no were to be found and discontinued all together and in the end they fixed it for us at a fair price. Don't take the negative reviews to heart. It's like finding a good doctor, relationship first and they have got what it takes. Remember you get what you give.

Great family feel shop. Fast and friendly. Not intimidating like other shops where mechanics try to upsell at every chance.
