I had called a few days ago to make an appointment for a state inspection. I was told that inspections were on a first come basis. I was also told that it would take 20-30 minutes and the shop opened at 7:00 AM. I planned my morning so that I could arrive before 7:00 and be done by 7:30AM. Upon arriving at 6:45 AM, the lights were on, the doors were all open, and the “Open” sign was brightly lit. The person at the front counter working on the computer asked what I needed and I replied that I needed a state inspection. Without looking up, he said that was fine and that I could come back in a few hours to pick up my car. I explained that I had been told that it would only take 20 minutes and since I was the first customer, I had planned on waiting. In addition, I did not have a ride. Again, barely looking up from the computer, he said that he did not have any inspectors in yet. I asked what time they come in and was told 7:30. I asked why I was told to come at 7:00, he bluntly replied that they start at 7:00 except on Monday. When l said I would have to rearrange my schedule for another day, he just continued to tap on his keyboard. He did not offer any further suggestion or ask if I could wait until 7:30. He obviously did not care what I did at that point. As a longtime customer, l had made an effort to return in spite of now living further away. That “customer loyalty “ built up over several years, was erased in less than a minute. It appears that McSpadden’s is too busy to care.
Gary, My apologies for the inconvenience!! If you have not already had the state inspection done please reach out to me at [email protected] ASAP and I will get you accommodated! I will speak to management because McSpadden’s is never too busy for its customers. We are not perfect people but we do our best!! Again, my apologies! Raymond McSpadden
