Had a poor experience with this garage. Had my van towed in due to overheating. They were unable to find the overheating problem, but due to leaving the van in neutral after towing, the battery died. They said they were unable to get the battery to charge, so replaced it without auth. They also took a full week to fix the van. When they called to say the van was ready, also failed to mention the fact they replaced the battery. I was quite surprised when I showed up to pick the van up to find out they had put a new battery in. I was really unhappy since the old battery was covered by warranty. So something that could have been handled by phone for us, suddenly would have turned into a major hassle with waiting for them to put the old battery back in, waiting for another tow truck, then waiting for the battery to be replaced at Sears. They did continually say, “we don’t want you to go away unhappy”. But that really did not address the fact that we had wasted our time to drive all the way there, to find out we suddenly had bought a new battery that would have been covered under warranty somewhere else. So we just paid the bill and left. So if you use this garage, I would recommend extreme caution. Make certain you insist that all work have auth BEFORE that work is done. Also be prepared to leave your car for a significant amount of time for the work to be completed.
Mr Smith, This is one of my 3 locations that rarely has any issues and my store manager at this location is VERY good about getting everything approved up front before any work is done but we as humans do make a mistakes. For this I apologize!!! I hire my employees that have worked at other locations (Not McSpaddens) and they are in fear of there jobs because of what they were taught at their previous jobs. With this fear that lives inside of them it is hard to teach them how to treat humans as they would their own family so my motto is to teach them that it is OK to make a mistake but it’s how you address that mistake that makes a difference. With this said I will be glad to make this inconvenience up to you!!! It will be our pleasure to make it right and be fair to both parties involved! Please email me at [email protected] to get this resolved as I’m sure we will find out it is just a minor mistake and we are all human. Thank you, Raymond McSpadden Update; After speaking with my Manager it seems AAA dropped your vehicle and left us no information in order for McSpaddens to contact you. It sat in our parking lot for 2 days before you contacted us and by that time it was Friday afternoon. We are closed on the weekend so it was Monday before we looked at it and addressed your issues. Our team at McSpaddens works very hard for our customers and our customers are very important to us!!
