We took our F350 truck to this location of McSpadden's and received the worst service of any auto store I have ever had. In June of 2017 they replaced an oil cooler ($3,300)and flush the system and in the process they put dents in the cab of the truck. We had it repaired and had to wait 2 month for reimbursement. in April 2018 we were then told that the oiler cooler wasn't working, we took it back for a diagnostic and it was the fan clutch for another thousand dollars on 4/24/18. About two weeks later 5/14/18 the check engine light comes on again they say fuel filter and so they replaced them and "flushed" that system $400. The check engine light comes on again 5/18/18 - reprogram the computer, drop the fuel tank - another diagnostic fee (3rd if you are not counting) another $1,400. Driving home the light comes on again they say bring it back right away, I turn around they say it is something else and now $880. We pick it up and stop to get diesel and it pours all over the ground - they did not even bother to hook up the fuel hose. The response was sorry it wasn't our normal guy like it is our fault that they don't know what they are doing. I would not trust this shop to change anything. We now need to take it and pay someone who might know what they are doing to check all the work they "supposedly did". I want someone from there to reimburse me for the time and trouble of dealing with them and the now $2,680 that we have paid for a truck that is not fixed. They keep guessing at what "might" be wrong and charging us every time they are wrong. My next letter is to the Better Business Bureau since nobody at McSpadden's seems to care that the service is this poor.
Hey Ronnie, I understand your frustration but we both know that this is not the truth about this situation! I’m not sure why everyone these days needs to air out there frustrations publicly but here is my e mail if you really want to discuss what really went on with your truck. Not only do I take pride in my business but my employees as well and if we did something wrong I have no issue making it right, no matter the cost! McSpaddens is an honest, fair and reasonable place to do business and that’s why my name is on our web site, our on hold program and many other places so you can reach the owner in the case you have any issues.
